Minimum requirements:

  • age 25 years
  • completed secretarial college education or vocational training
  • superior proficiency in Dutch, spoken and written
  • excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch
  • as well as in English
  • accurate and assertive
  • thorough knowledge of Word and Excel
  • fluent typing
  • proficient in the use of the Internet
  • ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • creative and innovative abilities
  • stress-resistant

General secretarial work:

  • handle phonecalls
  • diary management of at least 2 lawyers
  • handle incoming/outgoing (electronic) correspondence
  • prepare simple correspondence
  • develop draft documents (letters, e-mails, other documents)
  • imposition of documents

Specific duties:

  • communicate with professional affiliated bodies (Public Prosecutions Department, Cantonal Court, Court of Justice, MI-Glis, etc.)
  • prepare and maintain cause lists (register of civil cases) using session information
  • monitor deadlines of court hearings, summonses, etc., among other things)
  • create files
  • maintaining various databases in Excel
